What is the job?
Every year Bjørneparken serves over 60,000 hungry guests who choose to spend some of their summer holiday making memories with us. At Bjørneparken, we love food. We want our guests to love the food that they eat when they are here. We want a little extra love to go into each meal that leaves our kitchen. A bland sandwich or a dry hamburger isn’t enough for our guests! We are looking for cooks who want to come and enjoy the beautiful Hallingdal summer, make some new friends, have a little fun, and cook up some delicious treats that are a big part of our guests memories!
Who are you?
You’re fun, positive, and a team player. We’re too busy in the summer for negativity – we want people that enjoy working with others and will make the most out of a social summer here in Flå. You should enjoy the outdoors, Flå has a lot to offer for those that like to hike, camp, fish or otherwise enjoy the outdoors.
You need to be respectful and able to live with others – we can be helpful with finding shared accommodation at low cost, but you must be able to get along with room mates in what can sometimes be a small space.
Why is this posting in English?
Most of our guests are Norwegian, and most of our roles require an understanding of Norwegian for safety purposes or for dealing with guests directly. For this role, if you don’t speak Norwegian, that’s okay! While speaking Norwegian will be helpful, this position is not directly customer facing and doesn’t require it, so we are happy to have those who are interested in a working holiday this summer!
